I am a New York City Teaching Fellow and a first year teacher at Mott Hall III Middle School in the Bronx. I teach in an 8th grade inclusion classroom where students have a variety of different learning needs. This year I co-teach Math and English to my 8th graders, as well as two periods per week of Science and one of Social Studies. I also facilitate an after school arts program and a painting Talent Period with mixed groups of 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
I have my Bachelors in Fine Art with a Concentration in Painting from Hunter College. I am currently working on my Masters in Adolescents with Disabilities from the Hunter College School of Education.
Before becoming a Special Educator, I worked as an artist’s assistant, drum instructor and a classroom aid for an Autistic college student.
