A native of San Francisco, CA, I studied sociology at the University of California Los Angeles. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I moved to New York City to join the NYC teaching fellows. She began teaching in September of 2012, while simultaneously beginning and finishing my Master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. In my four years of teaching mathematics at Mott Hall III, I have taught sixth and seventh grade math. I have also served as assistant softball coach, fundraising specialist, PBIS committee member, afterschool academic support specialist, Sunshine Committee member, Donor’s Choose materials master, school Spelling Bee judge, and a constant positive presence in our school.
In my free time, I am an avid traveller. During the summer of 2014, I spent three weeks travelling on the west coast of Africa. In the summer of 2013, I traveled in Eastern Europe, where I visited seven countries. Beyond travel, I enjoy getting to know my new city home and exploring the many neighborhoods of my adopted city.
