I am Ms. Roberts, and I teach sixth grade English Language Arts at Mott Hall III. This is my eighth year teaching middle school students. As the sixth grade team leader, I am responsible for being the bridge of communication between my colleagues and the administration. I am a proud life-long learner who attended New York City and Connecticut public schools, Rutgers University in New Jersey, and CUNY for my Master’s Degree.
I love teaching middle school children because they are curious, energetic, and they grow and change into young adults right before my eyes, it seems. In ELA class we mainly focus on close and active reading of literary texts, quality paragraph writing in weekly writing workshops, and reinforcing grammar rules to speak and write professionally.
